Target Each Article You Write to a Specific Person

As an affiliate marketer you have to connect with your readers on a personal level. A reader who comes across your content on the web or in a newsletter wants to know you are talking to him or her directly. It’s not something they consciously think of when they approach an article, it’s just something they sub-consciously desire when they read an article. In other words, they know they want a connection without thinking about it, and know it when you aren’t connecting with them. Therefore, the key to connecting with your reader is to write an article as if you were talking to him or her one on one.

Readers of online articles are seeking solutions to problems. They want relevant practical information so they can make a decision about something. That decision may be to buy a product, try a service, or just a decision to seek more information before they make a final decision. Your article content has to inspire a reader to action. It has to inspire them to click through to your affiliate site where they fine the solution to their situation or problem.

Those are the words you want readers of your articles to say when they’ve finished one of your pieces. When they feel that way about information elicited from your writing then you know a connection has formed.
